Few golf courses in Florida can claim the kind of institutional history that belongs to The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. The course dates to 1929, making it one of the oldest in Southwest Florida, and it has been part of the beachside hotel property almost as long as Naples itself has been a destination. That continuity of place — the same grounds welcoming generations of guests — gives it a character that newer resort layouts simply can't manufacture.
The course plays through classic Florida low-country terrain: flat, open stretches punctuated by palms, water hazards, and the kind of subtropical vegetation that shifts with the season. The par-71 layout is not a brutish test, but it rewards course management and precision over raw power, and the coastal breezes off the Gulf of Mexico have a way of humbling even confident ball-strikers. The routing has been updated over the decades to keep pace with modern expectations while preserving its vintage bones.
Naples itself sits at the quieter, more refined end of Florida resort golf culture — closer in spirit to a private enclave than a theme-park destination — and this course fits that personality well.
