Rayong Green Valley Country Club occupies a stretch of land in Ban Chang, a district on Thailand's Eastern Seaboard that sits roughly halfway between the industrial port of Map Ta Phut and the resort beaches of Ban Phe. This corner of Rayong Province has developed rapidly over the past few decades alongside the Eastern Economic Corridor, and the club reflects that growth — it exists primarily to serve the expatriate community and corporate clientele drawn to the region by the petrochemical and manufacturing sectors that define the local economy.
As a private members' club, Green Valley offers a refuge from the industrial character of its surroundings, with the tropical vegetation and year-round warmth that make golf in this part of the Gulf Coast genuinely appealing. Rayong's climate means playing conditions are lush and the course stays green through most of the year, though the wet season from May through October brings afternoon downpours that players learn to time around.
The membership here tends to be internationally oriented, and the club carries the practical, well-maintained character typical of private facilities serving Thailand's expat corporate belt rather than the resort-destination courses found farther west along the coast toward Pattaya and Chonburi.
