Copper Mountain sits at roughly 9,700 feet above sea level in Summit County, Colorado, and the golf here is genuinely unlike anything you'll find at lower elevations. The air is thin enough that even mid-irons carry distances that will fool you repeatedly, and the surrounding peaks of the White River National Forest frame nearly every shot. This is high-alpine golf in the truest sense — a short season, cool mornings even in July, and afternoon thunderstorms that are less a possibility than a scheduling consideration.
Copper Creek Golf Club plays to a par 70, a layout that leans into the terrain rather than fighting it. The course shares its backyard with one of Colorado's busiest ski resorts, meaning the infrastructure is polished and the setting draws visitors already primed to be somewhere spectacular.
Summit County has quietly built a reputation as one of Colorado's more compelling golf destinations, with courses at altitude offering a distinct character from the Front Range layouts to the east. Copper Creek fits naturally into that conversation.
