Mountain Falls is one of the Mojave Desert's more surprising rounds of golf — a full-length layout carved into the rugged terrain at the base of the Spring Mountains, about 60 miles west of Las Vegas. Pahrump sits in a broad valley surrounded by peaks that push past 11,000 feet, and the course makes dramatic use of that scenery, with the Charleston range forming a constant backdrop. Desert target golf defines the experience here: you're playing through high desert scrub and rocky waste areas where errant shots find trouble fast.
The course draws a mix of Las Vegas visitors looking to escape the Strip and local Pahrump regulars who consider it a genuine community asset. The drive out via Highway 160 crosses some genuinely beautiful Mojave landscape, and the change in elevation from the valley floor to the mountain foothills gives the property real topographic interest.
For visitors, this is the kind of round that pairs well with the wider Nevada desert experience — wide open skies, sharp mountain light, and golf that demands you actually shape shots and manage risk rather than just aim at flags.
