Tsuraya Country Club's Nishinomiya Kita Course sits in the hills north of Nishinomiya city, where the Rokko mountain range begins to assert itself above the urban sprawl of Hyogo Prefecture's densely populated coastal belt. This is classic Kansai inland golf — tree-lined fairways carved through wooded terrain, elevation changes that reward local knowledge, and the kind of course that demands precise ball-striking over raw distance. The Kita (North) course is the more mountainous of Tsuraya CC's layouts, and its hillside routing means few level lies and a premium on course management.
Nishinomiya itself sits between Osaka and Kobe, two of Japan's great cities, and the surrounding area has long supported a serious golf culture built around private members' clubs. Tsuraya is a well-regarded name in this competitive regional scene, attracting a membership that takes the game seriously.
As with many established Japanese private clubs, the atmosphere here is formal, the conditions are typically meticulous, and visitors playing as guests of members will find a course that rewards repeat play and punishes carelessness.
