Perched atop Glassy Mountain in the Blue Ridge foothills of Upstate South Carolina, this is one of the flagship golf experiences within The Cliffs Communities — a collection of private residential clubs spread across the Carolinas. The course was designed by Tom Jackson and plays at genuine elevation, with the kind of panoramic views across the Upstate and into North Carolina that stop you mid-swing. At its highest points, you're standing above the clouds on clear mornings.

Landrum sits near the North Carolina border in Polk and Spartanburg county territory, a region where the Appalachian foothills create terrain that course architects rarely get to work with in the South. Jackson used that topography honestly — expect severe elevation changes, forced carries, and holes where the backdrop competes with the shot at hand.

This is private member-and-guest golf, and the experience reflects that. The pace is unhurried, the conditions are maintained to a high standard, and the mountain air makes the whole round feel removed from the everyday.
