Few golf destinations carry a name with quite this much weight. Europos Centro Golfo Klubas — the Golf Club of the Centre of Europe — takes its identity from one of geography's more captivating footnotes: the French National Geographic Institute calculated that the geodetic centre of Europe lies just north of Vilnius, and Lithuania has embraced that distinction with quiet pride. Playing here, you're not simply out on a course; you're somewhere that makes a genuine claim to sitting at the heart of a continent.
Vilnius itself is one of Eastern Europe's most underrated capitals — a UNESCO-listed Old Town of Baroque architecture, a compact but growing golf culture, and a landscape of glacially shaped hills, dense pine and birch forests, and dark ribbon rivers that gives the Lithuanian countryside a moody, northern beauty. The region's seasons are sharply defined, with short, bright summers that stretch the playing window long into the evening.
As a club rooted in that setting, it offers a golf experience still relatively rare in the Baltics — a proper course for a city increasingly confident in its European identity, accessible to visiting players who want something genuinely off the beaten track.
