Golf Club Wels

Few Austrian golf clubs carry the institutional weight of Golf Club Wels, one of the country's oldest and most established member clubs. Founded in the mid-20th century and rooted in the agricultural flatlands of Upper Austria, the club takes its name from the nearby city of Wels — a Roman settlement of genuine historical depth — while its course occupies the quieter countryside outside Weißkirchen an der Traun, a small community in the Traun river basin southwest of Linz.
