Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened as part of the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, The Ocean Course earns its name — stretches of the layout run directly alongside the Intracoastal and open water, where sea breezes shift constantly and can quietly dismantle a well-laid game plan. Nicklaus shaped the routing to maximize those water views while keeping the course playable enough for resort guests, though the exposed coastal holes demand real shot-shaping when the wind picks up off the Atlantic.
