Höganäs Golfklubb occupies a stretch of the Bjäre Peninsula's shoulder, in the corner of Skåne where the Öresund and Kattegat meet. Lerberget is a small coastal community just south of Höganäs town, historically tied to the ceramics and mining industries that shaped this part of northwestern Skåne — the Höganäs name remains synonymous with stoneware across Scandinavia. Golf here means playing in genuine seaside proximity, with the light, the wind off the straits, and the low-lying coastal heathland all contributing to conditions that change dramatically from morning to afternoon.
The Skåne golf scene is one of Sweden's richest, with the region's relatively mild climate — mild by Swedish standards, at least — extending the season compared to courses further north. The layout at Lerberget works with open, rolling terrain where wind is rarely a neutral factor, and where the course tends to play differently in each direction.
For visiting golfers, Höganäs sits within easy reach of both Helsingborg and the Bjäre Peninsula's more celebrated courses, making it a natural stop on any Skåne golf itinerary. It offers the honest, unhurried character of a Swedish members' club — straightforward and unpretentious in the best Scandinavian tradition.
