Golfklubben Hvide Klit

Hvide Klit sits on the Skagen Peninsula in the far north of Jutland, where Denmark tapers to a narrow point between the Kattegat and the Skagerrak. This is some of the most dramatic coastal terrain in Scandinavia — a landscape shaped by wind, migrating dunes, and the kind of light that has drawn painters to Skagen for over a century. The club occupies ground that feels genuinely remote, and the prevailing winds off the North Sea mean conditions can shift from benign to brutal within a single round.

The course is designed in a links-adjacent style that suits the surroundings: open fairways, natural rough of heather and marram grass, and greens that reward ground-game thinking over aerial attack. Distance means relatively little here when the wind turns; course management and shot shape matter far more than raw power.

Ålbæk itself is a small coastal village just south of Skagen, quietly beloved by Danish summer visitors. The club carries that unhurried northern character — serious about golf, unpretentious about everything else.
