Regents' Glen Country Club sits in York County, Pennsylvania, a region where rolling farmland and hardwood-forested hillsides define the landscape. The course was designed by Tom Clark, one of the Mid-Atlantic's most prolific architects, and opened in the mid-1990s as part of a residential community development. Clark had a gift for working with natural terrain rather than against it, and Regents' Glen reflects that — the routing moves through mature trees and gentle elevation changes that give each nine a distinct feel.
York itself occupies an interesting place in Pennsylvania golf. Far enough from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to develop its own local culture, the county has quietly produced a solid collection of private and semi-private layouts over the decades. Regents' Glen operates as a private country club serving the surrounding community, offering members a course that rewards course management over raw power.
The design leans traditional, with tree-lined fairways demanding accuracy off the tee and well-bunkered greens that test approach play from a variety of angles.
