Ashland sits at the southern tip of Chequamegon Bay, one of the largest bays on Lake Superior, and the golf course takes its name directly from those waters. This is northern Wisconsin in its most honest form — a region shaped by the lake's moderating influence, hardwood and conifer forests, and a working-class heritage tied to logging and shipping.
