The vineyards that carpet the Langhe hills around Novello aren't just a backdrop — they're the playing surface. Vigne del Barolo is a short par-3 course laid out among working Barolo vineyards in the heart of one of Italy's most celebrated wine appellations, where the fairways run between rows of Nebbiolo vines and the elevation changes of these ancient glacial hills give every hole a distinct character. It's a genuinely unusual golf experience: part sport, part wine tourism, part slow afternoon in one of Piedmont's most beautiful landscapes.

Novello sits in the Cuneo province, southeast of Alba, surrounded by villages whose names read like a wine list — Barolo, La Morra, Castiglione Falletto. The terrain is all ridgelines and steep-sided valleys, the fog-prone climate that coaxes Nebbiolo toward greatness also softening the light in a way that makes the hills look painted at dusk.
