The Golden Dragon Mountain International Golf Resort sits in Bokeo Province, in the far northwest corner of Laos where the Mekong River forms the border with Thailand and Myanmar — the notorious Golden Triangle. This is one of the most geographically dramatic settings in Southeast Asian golf, with the course occupying elevated terrain above the river valley, delivering views across 3 countries from the fairways. The resort is part of the broader Kings Romans complex, a vast Chinese-developed special economic zone that has transformed this remote riverbank into a casino resort destination drawing visitors primarily from mainland China.
The course reflects that investment model — designed and maintained to international resort standards, catering to a clientele expecting full amenities in a genuinely exotic location. Lush tropical vegetation, significant elevation changes, and the ever-present river panorama give it a visual drama that few courses in the region can match.
Bokeo's climate means play is possible year-round, though the cooler dry season from November through February offers the most comfortable conditions and the clearest views across the Golden Triangle's spectacular river landscape.
