Sligo town sits a few miles south, a lively, culturally rich hub with strong food and music traditions. The surrounding County Sligo coastline is one of Ireland's quieter Atlantic corners — less trafficked than Kerry or Dingle — which gives Rosses Point an unhurried character that lingers well after the round is finished.
