Thunder Bay's golfing roots run deep, and Fort William Country Club stands as one of the anchor institutions of that history. The club takes its name from Fort William, the western half of what became Thunder Bay when twin cities amalgamated in 1970, and it carries the weight of a community club that has served generations of northern Ontario golfers.
