The canyon setting means uneven lies, elevation changes, and playing corridors framed by coastal sage scrub and native chaparral rather than the manicured sameness of a flat executive layout.

San Diego's year-round mild climate makes Tecolote a genuinely all-weather, all-season option, and the municipal setting keeps it accessible to a wide cross-section of the city's golfers.
