Ängelholms Golfklubb traces its roots to the mid-20th century and plays through the gently rolling agricultural and forested landscape that characterizes inland Skåne, the southernmost province of Sweden. The course sits close to Munka-Ljungby, a small village a short drive from the coastal town of Ängelholm — a region better known for its sandy beaches on the Skälderviken bay, its strawberry farms, and a surprisingly active local golf culture fed by Skåne's relatively mild, maritime-influenced climate that extends the playing season well beyond what most of Sweden can manage.
The layout moves through a mix of open parkland and tree-lined corridors, presenting the kind of measured, honest test that defines the Swedish club golf tradition — rewarding straight ball-striking and thoughtful course management over raw power. Skåne's flat-to-rolling terrain keeps the walking comfortable, and the mature tree cover gives the course genuine seasonal character, particularly in autumn when the foliage turns.
For visiting golfers, Ängelholms offers a welcoming, unpretentious round firmly rooted in the everyday Swedish club experience — social, well-maintained, and genuinely pleasant to play.
