Prestonwood Country Club has been one of Dallas's most established private clubs since the 1970s, occupying a sprawling campus in the affluent northern suburbs that eventually grew to support multiple distinct courses. The Creeks Course is the second of those layouts, a complement to the Colony Course that together give members genuine variety across the same property. The name isn't decorative — the routing works with and around the creek corridors that cut through this part of North Texas, giving the design natural drama and a meaningful sense of risk on several holes where water genuinely shapes strategy rather than simply decorating the edges.
Dallas private club golf tends toward the polished and well-appointed, and Prestonwood fits that mold — manicured conditions, a strong membership culture, and a club identity that's held up across decades of suburban development pressing in around it.
At par 71, the Creeks plays slightly shorter than a traditional par-72 layout, which shifts the emphasis toward precision over raw power. North Texas's open skies and persistent wind remain factors regardless of the scorecard.
