Het Rijk van Nunspeet has been one of the most respected inland layouts in the Netherlands since it opened in 1982, designed by the prolific Dutch architect Frank Pont. Set on the Veluwe — the vast glacial ridge of heath, forest, and sand dunes that forms the green backbone of Gelderland — it occupies terrain that feels genuinely wild by Dutch standards, with elevation changes and natural contours that most courses in this famously flat country simply cannot offer.
