Breezy Point sits on the northern edge of Crow Wing County, deep in Minnesota's Brainerd Lakes region — a landscape of birch forests, interconnected lakes, and glacially sculpted terrain that has drawn Twin Cities vacationers for generations. Golf has long been part of the area's resort identity, and the Brainerd corridor is genuinely one of the Midwest's more concentrated pockets of destination golf, home to courses that range from workmanlike to nationally ranked.
Whitebirch Golf Course is one of the resort offerings at Breezy Point Resort, a long-established lakeside destination on Pelican Lake. The setting alone does a lot of the work — northern Minnesota birch and pine frame most layouts up here, and the name signals exactly the kind of environment you can expect: pale-barked trees, dappled light, and the particular quiet of the north woods between shots.
As a resort course, Whitebirch leans toward accessibility and enjoyment over championship severity. It's the kind of round that suits a family vacation or a relaxed group getaway — playable for a range of handicaps while still delivering the scenery that makes the drive north worth it.
