Sierra Vista sits at roughly 4,600 feet in the Sulphur Springs Valley, flanked by the Huachuca Mountains to the west and open high-desert grasslands rolling toward the Mexican border to the south. That elevation softens Arizona's desert heat considerably, making Pueblo Del Sol one of the more comfortable year-round playing environments in the state — summer rounds here feel nothing like the scorching basin courses in Tucson or Phoenix.
The high-desert setting shapes the course's personality in practical ways: expect firm, fast conditions, ball flight that carries farther than you're used to at sea level, and a landscape of native grasses, scrub oak, and mountain views that make the surroundings genuinely scenic without relying on the manicured artificiality of resort golf.
