Builth Wells Golf Club sits in the heart of mid-Wales, occupying high common ground above the small market town of the same name on the River Wye. The course is managed by the club but the land itself is open common, which means sheep are a genuine and unhurried presence on the fairways — a distinctly Welsh quirk that no scorecard will warn you about.
