Snee Farm Country Club sits in Mt. Pleasant, the fast-growing community just across the Ravenel Bridge from Charleston, and it carries a history that predates the suburb's explosive development. The club takes its name from Snee Farm, the historic plantation once owned by Charles Pinckney, a Founding Father and signer of the Constitution — the land itself is woven into the early fabric of South Carolina. That sense of place gives the club a character most newer developments in the Lowcountry simply cannot manufacture.
The course plays through the kind of landscape the Charleston area does beautifully: mature live oaks draped in Spanish moss, water features fed by tidal drainage, and the flat, coastal terrain that rewards course management over raw power. The Lowcountry's humidity and warm climate keep the turf lush for much of the year, though the coastal wind can quietly dismantle a scorecard.
As a private country club, Snee Farm has long served as a gathering point for the Mt. Pleasant community, offering members a genuine retreat from one of the Southeast's most rapidly urbanizing corridors.
