Few golf clubs in Southeast Asia carry the kind of social weight that Damai Indah has accumulated in Jakarta's private club scene. Established in the 1980s during Indonesia's golf boom, when the sport became a marker of corporate status in the capital, the club occupies a surprisingly green pocket of North Jakarta — a dense, sprawling metropolis where open land is genuinely scarce. That setting alone makes the property remarkable: a manicured retreat carved into a city that never stops moving.
The club operates 2 courses — the BSD and Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) layouts — each offering a different character, though both are routed through low-lying tropical terrain where humidity and afternoon thunderstorms shape the playing experience as much as any bunker does. Tropical hardwoods, water features, and carefully managed fairways define the visual palette throughout.
As a members-only club, Damai Indah has long served Jakarta's business and political elite, and access reflects that exclusivity. For those inside the gates, it represents one of the more polished private golf experiences available in the Indonesian capital.
