Bad Lippspringe's Old Course sits at the edge of a spa town that has drawn visitors to its mineral springs and forested landscape since the 19th century. The Teutoburg Forest rises to the east, and the course plays through a setting that feels more like a quiet Westphalian park than a conventional golf layout — mature trees, open meadows, and the unhurried atmosphere of a Kurort where the pace of life is deliberately slow.
The course has served the region's golf community for decades, functioning as the established anchor of local play in an area not especially dense with courses. As a public facility, it welcomes both committed regulars and visitors drawn to Bad Lippspringe for its spa amenities or simply passing through the Paderborn corridor of eastern North Rhine-Westphalia.
Rounds here tend to reward placement over power. The parkland setting means tree lines define most holes, and the turf quality benefits from the same well-watered, sheltered terrain that made the town famous as a health resort. It is unfussy, honest golf in a quietly beautiful corner of Westphalia.
