Kundang Lakes Country Club sits in Rawang, a town in northern Selangor that has grown steadily as Kuala Lumpur's urban reach has extended up the Klang Valley corridor. The course takes its name from the series of lakes that define much of the property, and water comes into play on a significant number of holes — demanding accurate iron play and a willingness to commit on approach shots where bailing out simply trades one problem for another. The layout moves through a landscape of mature tropical vegetation, with the kind of humidity and lush rough that reminds you quickly this is equatorial golf, where the ball behaves differently and course management matters more than raw power.
As a private members' club, Kundang Lakes carries the character typical of Malaysia's established country clubs — a social anchor for its membership, with facilities that extend well beyond the golf itself. Guest access is limited, which keeps the course uncrowded and the fairways in good condition.
Selangor's golf scene is one of the richest in Southeast Asia, with courses ranging from tournament-grade championship tracks to relaxed everyday layouts. Kundang Lakes occupies a respected place in that ecosystem — a course its members genuinely call their own.
