Few golf clubs in the National Capital Region carry as much history as Club de Golf Chaudière. Founded in 1923, it is one of the oldest continuously operating golf clubs in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, and its roots in the francophone community of what was then Hull give it a distinct identity on the Quebec side of the river. The club has been a social and sporting anchor for generations of local golfers, and that sense of membership and belonging still runs through everything about the place.
The course sits along the Ottawa River corridor, where the terrain is shaped by the same ancient Canadian Shield geology that defines so much of the Outaouais region. Tree-lined fairways, firm turf conditions that arrive early in the season, and the particular quality of light that comes off the river on a clear morning give rounds here a genuinely regional character.
As a traditional private members' club, Chaudière rewards familiarity — local knowledge matters on a layout where course management and precision off the tee count for more than raw distance.
