A par-60 layout on the northeastern coast of Sardinia is a genuinely unusual thing — short in par but not necessarily short on scenery or challenge. Puntaldia sits within the San Teodoro resort area, a stretch of coast that ranks among the most visually striking in the Mediterranean, where pale granite outcroppings, macchia scrubland, and water of an improbable turquoise define the landscape. Courses built into this terrain tend to reflect it honestly: tight corridors, unpredictable winds off the Tyrrhenian Sea, and conditions that shift quickly between seasons.
A par of 60 over 18 holes means the card is weighted heavily toward par-3s and short par-4s, which suits resort golf well. That format rewards precision and course management over raw distance — a different kind of test, but a real one, particularly when the breeze picks up.
San Teodoro itself is a small town that fills considerably in summer, when the beaches of Cala d'Ambra and La Cinta draw visitors from across Europe. Golf here is very much part of a broader holiday experience rather than a pilgrimage destination, and Puntaldia fits that character.
