Rosenkälla GK

Rosenkälla GK sits in the forested terrain northeast of Stockholm, in Vallentuna municipality — a area of lakes, pine woods, and granite outcroppings that defines so much of Swedish golf's visual character. The club has been part of the active Stockholm-region golf scene since the 1980s, offering members a woodland layout where the natural landscape does most of the decorating. Tight tree corridors and uneven lies are the norm here; this is not a course that flatters imprecise ball-striking.

The Stockholm region is one of Scandinavia's densest concentrations of golf clubs, and Rosenkälla occupies a comfortable mid-tier position — a genuine members' course rather than a showcase destination, valued for its accessibility from the northern suburbs and its relaxed club culture. The Swedish golf season runs roughly May through October, and the long summer daylight hours mean evening rounds stretching well past 9 p.m. are a genuine pleasure here.
