Founded originally in Viipuri — the culturally rich city ceded to the Soviet Union after the Winter and Continuation Wars — the club was forced to relocate along with the tens of thousands of Karelian evacuees who left everything behind. Kahilanniemi, the club's current home on the shores of Lake Saimaa near Lappeenranta, represents that second chapter: a determined community keeping its identity alive through golf.
