Golfplatz Murhof

Few Austrian golf clubs carry the historical weight of Murhof. Founded in 1967 and set in the Mur Valley between Graz and the Styrian Alps, the course was designed by Donald Harradine, the British-born architect who shaped more European layouts than perhaps any of his era. Harradine crafted a parkland track that works with the valley's natural contours rather than against them, routing holes through mature forest and across gently rolling terrain with the River Mur providing both backdrop and occasional hazard. It has long held a reputation as one of Austria's premier clubs and regularly features among the country's top-ranked courses.

Frohnleiten itself is a small, picturesque market town about 25 kilometers north of Graz, and the setting gives Murhof a distinctly Central European character — quiet, unhurried, serious about its golf.
