Few golf clubs in the Hudson Valley carry as much architectural pedigree as this one. Originally built as Branton Woods Golf Club and designed by Jim Fazio, the course was acquired by the Trump Organization in 2015 and rebranded, with significant investment poured into renovations and conditioning. The layout occupies a dramatic piece of Dutchess County terrain — rolling hills, mature hardwoods, and the kind of elevation change that makes a round here genuinely memorable from a visual standpoint.
Jim Fazio's routing takes full advantage of the land's natural contours, producing a course that demands strategic thinking rather than pure power. Tree-lined corridors keep errant shots honest, while several holes open up to sweeping views across the Hudson Valley highlands. The conditioning has been a priority under Trump ownership, and the club presents itself at a private-club standard.
Hopewell Junction sits in the heart of Dutchess County, roughly 80 miles north of Manhattan. The region's four distinct seasons shape the playing experience considerably — fall rounds here, framed by the Hudson Valley's famous foliage, are among the more visually striking you'll find in the Northeast.
