Baltimore has one of the longest-running public golf traditions in the country, and Carroll Park sits at the heart of it. Located in the southwest corner of the city along the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River, the course occupies land within Carroll Park itself — one of Baltimore's oldest public green spaces, named for Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence. Playing here means teeing it up on genuinely historic ground.
As a municipally operated layout with a par of 68, Carroll Park plays as a shorter, more accessible course — the kind of place where Baltimoreans have learned the game for generations, where a quick round after work is entirely realistic, and where the pressure is low but the company is good.
