Eynesbury is a residential golf community about 45 minutes west of Melbourne's CBD, set within a historic pastoral property that dates back to the 19th century. The course was designed by Graham Marsh — the former European Tour winner turned respected architect — and it leans into the natural character of the land rather than imposing anything artificial upon it. Mature river red gums define much of the layout, creating corridors that reward accuracy and give the course a genuine sense of age and permanence that newer developments rarely achieve.
The surrounding Eynesbury township was purpose-built around the course, so the golf feels central to the community rather than incidental to it. The western fringe of Melbourne's urban sprawl gives way quickly here to open grasslands and remnant woodland, and that transitional landscape — part paddock, part bushland — shapes the atmosphere on the course from the first hole to the last.
For golfers making the drive out from the city, Eynesbury offers something the inner suburbs cannot: space, quiet, and a round that feels genuinely removed from metropolitan life.
