Enumclaw sits at the foot of the Cascade Range, roughly 40 miles southeast of Seattle, with Mount Rainier dominating the skyline on clear days. The town occupies a broad agricultural plateau — horse farms, hay fields, and volcanic soil — and the golf course reflects that unpretentious, working-community character. This is everyday golf in the Pacific Northwest, the kind of place where regulars know each other by name and the pro shop conversation leans toward the Seahawks.
Par 70 layouts tend to reward ball-striking precision over raw distance, and the wet western Washington climate keeps the turf green and receptive through much of the year. Expect the rough to be genuine rough — the Pacific Northwest doesn't have an off-season for grass growth — and morning tee times often come with low clouds hugging the Cascades before they burn off by the back nine.
For visitors passing through the foothills or en route to Mount Rainier National Park, Enumclaw Golf Course offers a grounded, unhurried round without resort pretension — just straightforward public golf against one of the more dramatic mountain backdrops in the state.
