Terre dei Consoli Golf Club & Resort

Few Italian golf courses carry quite the same atmosphere of layered history as this one. Terre dei Consoli sits in the volcanic Cimini Hills of northern Lazio, on land shaped by Etruscan settlement and later Roman consular roads — the club's name itself is a nod to that ancient past. The course was designed by Marco Croze and opened in the early 2000s, weaving through a landscape of oak woods, olive groves, and the remnants of old rural estates. The terrain here is genuinely rolling, and the routing makes honest use of the elevation changes rather than flattening them out.

Monterosi is a small hilltop town roughly 40 kilometers north of Rome, just off the Via Cassia. Lake Vico, a protected volcanic crater lake, sits nearby, and the whole pocket of northern Lazio has a quieter, more agricultural character than the Castelli Romani to the south.
