Chateau Elan

Chateau Elan is one of Georgia's most recognized resort golf destinations, built around the sprawling winery and hotel complex that has made Braselton a draw for visitors from across the Southeast since the late 1980s. The property houses multiple courses, and the flagship Chateau course winds through a landscape shaped by rolling Piedmont foothills, mature hardwoods, and the vineyard grounds themselves — a setting that gives rounds here a distinctly different atmosphere than the pine-corridor golf more common across the state.

The design reflects classic resort sensibilities: playable enough to welcome guests arriving off a long drive up I-85, but with enough contour and strategic variety to reward repeat play. The par-71 layout lends it a slightly distinctive rhythm compared to a conventional par-72, with the balance of par-3s and par-5s giving certain stretches a more target-oriented feel.

Braselton sits roughly 45 miles northeast of Atlanta, close enough to draw weekend escapes from the metro but removed enough to feel like a genuine getaway — which has always been the core promise of Chateau Elan as a destination.
