Serrezuela Country Club occupies a distinctive position on the Bogotá savanna, in the municipality of Mosquera just west of the capital along the main corridor toward the Magdalena River valley. The sabana de Bogotá sits at roughly 2,600 meters above sea level, which means golf here plays in genuinely thin air — shots carry noticeably farther than at sea level, and the light has a crystalline quality that makes the surrounding Andean ridgelines feel permanently close. The course winds through terrain shaped by that high plateau landscape, with views toward the Western Cordillera framing many of the holes.
As a private members' club, Serrezuela functions as something of a retreat from Bogotá's urban intensity, drawing an established membership from the capital's business and social community. The club offers the full complement of country club amenities, and golf here carries the unhurried, social rhythm characteristic of Colombian private clubs, where a round tends to extend into the afternoon with considerable ease.
Colombia's golf culture is quieter than its neighbors but genuinely passionate, and the Bogotá savanna — home to several well-regarded private layouts — is the country's most concentrated center of the game.
