Few municipal courses in the Twin Cities carry as much history as Phalen Park. Operated by the City of St. Paul, it occupies a corner of the larger Phalen Regional Park — one of the city's most beloved green spaces, centered on Lake Phalen and threaded with walking trails, picnic grounds, and the kind of lived-in civic character that only decades of public use can produce. Golf has been part of that landscape since the early 20th century, making Phalen one of the longer-running public tracks in the metro.
