Blind Bay sits on the southern shore of Shuswap Lake, one of the most expansive and storied lake systems in the British Columbia Interior. The community draws boaters, cottagers, and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the summer, and the golf course fits naturally into that unhurried, vacation-pace character. The surrounding landscape is classic southern Interior British Columbia — dry ponderosa pine slopes giving way to the lake's blue-green water, with the rolling hills of the Shuswap region framing the horizon in every direction.
Shuswap Lake Golf Course plays as a relaxed, walkable layout that suits the area's cottage-country sensibility. It's the kind of course where views of the lake occasionally open up between holes, and the natural terrain does much of the design work. The pines and the elevation changes keep things interesting without punishing the recreational golfer who is, after all, likely here as part of a broader lake holiday.
For visitors to the Shuswap, it fills a genuine need — an accessible, scenic round that complements a region better known for its houseboats than its handicaps.
