Greens Beach sits at the northern tip of the Tamar Valley on Tasmania's verdant coast, where the Tamar River meets Bass Strait. It's a corner of Australia that feels genuinely remote — windswept, bracingly clean, and about as far from a manicured resort corridor as you can get. The golf here belongs to that same spirit.
With a par of 74, the course leans on par 5s and longer par 4s in a way that rewards patience over firepower. Links-influenced layouts in this part of Tasmania tend to borrow from the coastal terrain naturally — firm ground, variable winds off the water, and vegetation that doesn't much care whether you're in it or not. What you won't find is artifice; courses in this region earn their character from the land itself rather than from a designer's ambitions.
Greens Beach is the kind of club where locals have played the same friendly rivalries for decades. Visitors come through mainly because they're genuinely curious about Tasmanian golf — and they tend to leave glad they made the detour.
