Bang Phra Golf Club is one of Thailand's oldest and most storied public layouts, carved through the hilly, forested terrain surrounding Bang Phra Reservoir in Si Racha. Originally developed in the 1950s and long operated under Royal Thai Navy and later public management, it holds a nostalgic place in Thai golf history — a course where the game was accessible to everyday players decades before Thailand's resort-golf boom reshaped the country's image abroad.

The setting does most of the work here. Mature trees line nearly every hole, the reservoir occasionally comes into view, and the rolling terrain demands more creativity and course management than the flat, manufactured resort tracks that now dominate the region. It plays as an honest challenge — not a vanity showcase — and that character is precisely why it retains a loyal local following.

Si Racha sits in Chon Buri province, roughly an hour south of Bangkok on the Eastern Seaboard, a corridor better known today for industrial estates and the gateway to Pattaya. Bang Phra offers a genuine counterpoint to that density: a round here feels unhurried, shaded, and rooted in an older, quieter version of Thai golf.
