Pimpri-Chinchwad sits in the industrial heartland of Maharashtra, directly northwest of Pune and essentially merged with it into one of India's largest urban agglomerations. The twin-city corridor is better known for its Tata and Bajaj manufacturing plants than for fairways, but Pune's broader metro area does support a modest golf scene, anchored by the long-established Poona Club and a handful of newer layouts that have emerged alongside the region's rapid expansion. Golf in this part of the Deccan Plateau tends to mean navigating warm, dry conditions for much of the year, with the welcome relief of the June-to-September monsoon greening everything up considerably.
Blue Ridge Golf Course serves the residential and township development of the same name, a large planned community that has grown up on Pune's outskirts. Courses of this type in India's newer satellite townships typically function as lifestyle amenities for residents — sociable, accessible layouts designed to introduce the game rather than punish experienced players.
If you're visiting from outside the development, it's worth confirming current access and conditions before you make the trip, as township courses in this region can vary in their welcome to outside play.
