Dell Urich Course

Few municipal courses in the American Southwest carry the kind of civic pride that Tucson's Dell Urich does. Operated by the City of Tucson and set within Randolph Park — a sprawling public recreation corridor in the heart of the city — it sits alongside its older sibling, the Randolph North Course, in what amounts to one of the more complete public golf complexes in the region. The course is named for a longtime Tucson parks official, a nod to the city's investment in keeping quality golf accessible to everyday players.

The Sonoran Desert surroundings give Dell Urich a distinct visual identity: mature trees lining the fairways, mountain views on the horizon, and that particular quality of light that makes Tucson golf something to seek out from fall through spring. The climate draws players nearly year-round, and the flat, walkable terrain makes it a genuine neighborhood course in the best sense.

At par 70, the layout rewards accuracy over raw power — a tighter, more strategic test than the neighboring North Course, and a local favorite for that reason.
