The Atlantic coast of southern Morocco produces a particular kind of light — sharp, salt-edged, and relentless — and Golf Les Dunes sits within that landscape near Inezgane, the busy commercial hub just south of Agadir. The Souss-Massa region draws golfers as part of a broader drive by Morocco to establish itself as a serious golf destination, with the mild, near-year-round climate making the area genuinely playable across all seasons. The course takes its name from the duneland terrain of the coastal plain, where the land flattens toward the Atlantic and wind becomes a real factor in shot-making.
Inezgane itself sits at the edge of the Souss Valley, where the Anti-Atlas mountains form a distant backdrop and argan trees — unique to this corner of Morocco — texture the surrounding countryside. That setting gives the course a distinct North African character that separates it from the more manicured resort courses up the coast toward Agadir.
As a public-access layout in a working regional town rather than a polished tourist enclave, Les Dunes offers a more grounded, local side of Moroccan golf — the game as it's actually played here, rather than packaged for export.
