Club de Golf Tecumseh

Few golf clubs in the National Capital Region carry as much history as Tecumseh, which traces its origins to the early 20th century and stands as one of the oldest established clubs on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River. The club has long served as a counterpart to the better-known Ottawa-side institutions, drawing francophone members and capital-region golfers who appreciate a course with genuine roots in the community rather than the resort polish of newer facilities.

Gatineau itself sits just across the river from Ottawa, and the Outaouais region gives Tecumseh a distinctly different feel from its Ontario neighbours — the rolling Laurentian foothills begin their climb not far to the north, and the course reflects the modest, wooded terrain characteristic of this part of Quebec. Summers are warm and the season relatively short, which tends to produce a membership that treats the game seriously.
