Haga golfklubb has been one of the Oslo region's most established clubs since its founding in the mid-20th century, operating out of Bekkestua in the municipality of Bærum — one of Norway's most affluent and golf-dense suburbs, sitting just west of the capital. The course occupies a classic Scandinavian parkland setting, moving through deciduous woodland with the kind of quiet, considered atmosphere that defines private club golf in this part of the world. It is a members' club with genuine roots in the community, and that sense of belonging comes through in how the course is maintained and presented.
Bærum's rolling terrain gives Haga real topographical variety, with elevation changes that reward course management and make the walk genuinely engaging. The landscape shifts with the seasons dramatically — lush and green through the long summer days, and framed by vivid autumn colour before the Norwegian winter closes proceedings.
For visiting golfers, Haga represents solid, well-regarded club golf within easy reach of Oslo, in a part of Akershus where the standard of facilities and course conditioning tends to be high.
