Cumberland sits in Ottawa's eastern suburbs, where the Ottawa River valley gives way to rolling farmland and mixed boreal forest — terrain that lends itself naturally to a course with some bite. Predator is part of the Camelot Golf & Country Club property, one of eastern Ontario's more established private club environments, and the name alone signals what kind of round you're in for. This isn't a layout content to let you walk away unscathed.
The Ottawa golf scene doesn't always get its due, but the region produces genuinely challenging parkland golf, and courses on this side of the city tend to reward local knowledge — knowing how the morning wind moves off the river, how the tree-lined corridors tighten your margin for error, how the ground firms up or softens with the season. Playing Predator for the first time, you're likely to leave with a mental list of holes you'd approach differently next time.
Par 72 accommodates all manner of design personalities, and out here that typically means a mix of long, demanding par 4s and at least a couple of par 5s where position off the tee matters more than raw distance. Predator earns its name through pressure, not gimmickry.
